NOTE #1:
Been accused my entire life of having my ‘own language’ and of speaking in ‘Glenn-isms’ or ‘Glenn-ese’.
WARNING: Neologism, non-sequitur, idiom and the buck-toothed, wall-eyed metaphor flourish in these here parts. Hip-waders highly recommended.
NOTE #2:
Ever-so-slightly synesthesiac (the five senses overlap or interconnect strangely). Mine is centered on where and how my memories are stored.
For example, names and words have a starting letter and a length and a textural sensation (smooth, cold, sharp, fuzzy). Kind of like a reverse-crossword dictionary in Feel-Around™. Some words have flavor and texture, sounds occasionally have a smell, and smells often produce a color.
NOTE #3:
Talents (and I use the term loosely) include:
- Near-perfect voice recall – I can hear almost any recorded voice and tell you who it is, even if they’re ‘in character’. No similar luck with faces, though. Best I can do is ‘hey, I recognize him from somewhere… and here he comes to say ‘hi”.
- Crackerjack researcher – Able to find info quickly about almost any subject. This was a LOT more impressive before the Intarweb and the tubes full of trucks came along. Now, finding something in ten seconds when it might take the average person a minute barely rates a golf clap.
- Linking dissimilar things – Rather esoteric, but a knack for finding the 1° of separation between two really different subjects (this one actually stands very closely to Talent, attempting to bask and somehow become tan enough to be mistaken for Talent).
